ACADEMIC PROGRAM
As students progress they are expected to meet certain criteria based on their grade level. During a student's freshman year, they take the Stanford test as part of the requirements for our Advanced Placement classes. This gives them access to information on various colleges, information on various careers and college majors, and the chance to create personal inventories of preferences of their likes and dislikes, as well as access to information on good study habits.
During their sophomore year our students take the Compass Assessment for placement in college level classes the first time, as well as their AIMS (Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards) exams. The information from these two tests is used to determine who can take college courses in the upcoming year and who needs tutoring in specifics areas.
After students become eligible to take our concurrent enrollment courses, all courses
are geared toward the completion of the general education requirements that each

During their junior and seniors years, students are encouraged to apply for financial aid and other kinds of college financing through our Career Center in the Counselor's office. Our Counselor keeps an updated website of grants and scholarship information. She also helps students fill out the FAFSA and runs parent meetings on the importance of filling out the various forms in a timely manner.
