Luz Academy Since our founding in 1997, Luz Guerrero Early College (formerly Luz Academy of Tucson) has been one of a handful of charter schools to recognize the importance of competitive athletics in building the complete individual, a student who is ready to participate in all that life has to offer.

Our high school belongs to the Southern Arizona Athletic Association (SAAA) where 18 schools compete across a year-long schedule. Our athletic program helps to develop the total individual by instilling the true spirit of competition - where pride, fairness, and loyalty are taught.
